How hard is it to start a farm?
It depends on your tenacity! Depending on where you live, research the area and find out if you can have animals and how many. I ran into an insurance problem, one said I could only have 6 goats. Needless to say I found a local insurance company that understands farming!!

You can have a goat for 15 - 18 years. You can breed up to 10 years.

With my 19, I go through an 85# bale every 2 days. I also feed a combination grain to the girls and oats to the boys. (They LOVE weeds)!! You can stake them out for an hour or two to eat your weeds, be advised that they eat EVERYTHING so be careful!!

I have a friend who makes rugs. I have a friend who spins it into yarn. It doesn’t shrink like wool.

Do you sell the goats?
Yes, you can sell them as bottle babies or when they are weened. Know that goats hate change!! So if you get one, be patient, they will adjust.
